Together, we're the next BIG thing in data.Job DescriptionWestern DigitalThe next big thing in data is you!This is a Chief of Staff role reporting directly to the Vice President, Product Design Engineering. The span of this role will focus primarily on supporting the Memory Product Solutions (MPS) organization.This role requires a dynamic individual with an aptitude to learn new areas quickly, strong organization and communication skills, process driven, able to handle a diversity of tasks simultaneously, with a flexible and adaptable attitude and mindset. Candidate will take direction from the VP, Product Design Engineering, work directly with various leadership teams in matters related to the internal operations of those organizations, as well as support for corporate level deliverables and responsibilities.Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Process owner for all regularly occurring key functional meetings, including staff meetings, quarterly operations reviews, quarterly All Hands Meetings (AHM), and regular staff offsite meetings. Coordinate content and communications, inclusive of all geos. Capture actions and drive follow-up activities
  • Manage functional corporate calendar of events and deliverables. Take the lead in creating all required content, collaborating with functional leads to compile updates and integrate for BU, planning and QBR support.
  • Coordinate all budget planning and tracking, working closely with VP's & Sr Directors and acting as first line interface to the finance, planning and factory organizations. Coordinate and manage headcount planning and tracking
  • Work with functional leads, Human Resources, and Executive Assistant team to organize team building events to promote a healthy and engaged team; take the lead in organizing and driving communications to both internal and external audiences
  • Act as key advisor to the staff teams; take the lead in planning and executing key organizational initiatives related to technology, product roadmap, processes, and personnel, including driving and publishing regular Key Performance Indicators (KPI) indices to the broader organization
  • At the discretion of the staff members, candidate may attend key meetings and forums in an acting role and act as a Western Digital representative in select external forums.
  • Maintain group website and regulate content.
  • Drive strategic initiatives with cross functional teams and staff members.
  • Clarity Champion. Point contact for guiding managers for Clarity usage with help from admin.
  • Drive group's IT and REO projects and requirements.RequiredQualifications
    • BS, Engineering with 8-10 year plus experience.
    • Direct experience in the field of NAND Flash based products or related disciplines highly desirable.Preferred
      • Finance and/or Operations experience preferred.

        • An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
        • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
        • You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
