The Role

The Principal Field Marketing Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing field marketers and demand generation activities in multiple regions for multiple ET&I products. This role reports to the Global Head of Product-Led Growth.

What we're looking for:

--- 7+ years of B2B SaaS field marketing experience.

--- Drive integrated demand generation campaigns to generate pipeline and self-service and high-touch sales opportunities.

--- Exemplary communication skills with senior marketing, product, and sales leaders.

--- Ability to plan, allocate, and track budget down to the sub-region

--- Experience running a team of direct reports

--- Ability to easily establish strong rapport with in-region sales leadership and teams

--- Ability to navigate multi-level, matrixed sales organizations and plan regional technical marketing events

--- Ability to build technical content for users and C-level executive personas, and market to technical personas such as DevOps, App Developers, Security engineers, Cloud Platform engineers, etc.

--- Demonstrated track record of driving results and staying within a budget.

--- Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company's travel policy.

--- Miraculous attention to every single detail.

--- Ability to synthesize product differentiators to build suitable messaging in end user's tone, and gain alignment on messaging and positioning with all stakeholders.

--- Opinionated, data-obsessed, self-starters, and creative copywriter with a flair to simplify and yet retain the authenticity and essence of the product differentiators.

--- Familiarity with all aspects of product marketing, including familiarity with building interactive digital media and marketing tactics, and lifecycle campaign methodology

--- Experience building innovative digital content for social media, content for website, content for lifecycle campaigns.

--- Experience creating executive-ready & data-driven reports and slide decks for key stakeholders

--- Prior experience with technical products for developers, DevOps, or IT security admins

--- Familiarity with solution-based approach to marketing and positioning products.

--- Ability to draft technical blogs

--- Prior experience doing sales and partner enablement with accurate and usable content

Responsibilities will include:

--- Manage a team of field marketers to develop and execute a regional demand generation strategy in line with company sales goals.

--- Represent field marketing with field sales peers and management.

--- Collaborate with senior marketing leaders, finance, and sales leaders to create integrated plans and budgets.

--- Be a player/coach, executing and managing marketing activities.

--- Building messaging, positioning, and doing persona research

--- Building content strategy and building content quickly and effectively for all form factors, all digital channels, and for sales and partners.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing/Journalism or Engineering/Technology
  • Engineering education is a big plus.
  • You love building content of all kinds, digital, web, social, thought leadership, and technical product marketing and messaging.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the tech industry at a senior level in product marketing, product management, strategy, or consulting role
  • Excellent communications and presentation abilities
  • Strategic, critical but creative problem solver with strong technical and business sense
  • Ability to lead, build and work within cross-functional team environments
  • Deep understanding of software, networking, collab, security, cloud, and virtualization business models and corporate marketing strategy
  • Familiarity with new software technology and incubation
