Luminostics (intro ) is a digital diagnostics startup that has built a platform for rapid, accurate health testing in home and point-of-care settings using glow-in-the-dark nanochemistry and connected hardware. Seed-funded in 2016 and backed by 8+ years of R&D, we launched an FDA-authorized rapid COVID-19 test as our first product in January 2021. We are backed by Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator, and NIH's RADx initiative. Our next product, launching Q4 2021, is an at-home self-test to detect and differentiate COVID-19 and influenza A/B. Our product vision is to enable accessible, personalized, and actionable screening/diagnostics/monitoring, with immediate follow-up, across infectious, metabolic, endocrine, and chronic disease. We are based in Milpitas, CA and have -85 employees. This Head of Marketing role, the first dedicated marketing hire at Luminostics, will report to the CEO and be responsible for building Luminostics' marketing organization and B2B/B2C marketing capabilities, nearly from scratch, across product marketing, brand development & management, PR, organic & paid customer acquisition, eCommerce, product ideation and customer insights, etc. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned marketing leader to build systems, processes, and a team from the ground up to have a lasting impact on a fast-growing, mission-driven company at the frontier of the consumer-centric future of healthcare. Responsibilities Executive ownership of the company's B2B and B2C marketing objectives and strategy Build and manage a world-class team to execute on the company's marketing strategy Collaborate on new product planning with product management, sales, customer experience, and R&D orgs to represent market and customer needs, and work with other internal stakeholders (QA/RA, Operations, etc.) throughout the product life cycle Partner with sales team to develop collateral and strategies for B2B customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, and own the B2C arms of the same Collaborate with the business development org to execute on strategic partnerships and growth opportunities within the IVD, digital health, and pharma/biopharma Develop and execute on plans to elevate brand awareness in the company's markets Source, vet, and manage external vendors as necessary to achieve marketing objectives Keep close track of the company's competitive landscape, emerging companies, emerging technologies, and the history of the company's industry that lies at the intersection of traditional IVDs/biotech and digital health, thereby contributing to the CEO and management team's navigation of the idea maze [1] and helping chart a course to successful product positioning and enduring success Qualifications & skills ---10+ years of marketing experience, preferably at the intersection of professional and direct-to-consumer healthcare ---Experience developing and executing successful marketing programs across B2B and B2C market segments for healthcare products ---Leadership, charisma, and strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across the organization ---Proven ability to hire, train, manage, develop and motivate direct reports ---Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and project management skills ---Strong track record of creativity and resourceful execution
