About the Team

The Cisco Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ET&I) group is passionately focused on identifying breakthrough emerging solutions that create new markets and businesses for Cisco. We incubate these new opportunities in partnership with our business groups, partners and other startups. The team also continues to progress Cisco's important work with standards bodies and manages research partnerships with leading universities.

What You'll Do

As a Principal Product Designers, Product-Led Growth, you have a mission critical role focused on creating user experience design and design strategy for our product-led growth initiatives. You will need to think globally and have an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be moving quickly, pivoting often and will embrace failing fast. This is a role that will challenge you to push user-centered design into the organization's thinking and processes. You will partner with Product Owners, Engineers and other UX/UI Designers to create innovative design solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of the end user and collaborate across various disciplines and functions to create intuitive, cohesive and seamless designs.
  • Distill complex problems and propose simple, elegant design solutions
  • Create user flows, wireframes and lightweight prototype concepts for communication with the business, project team, and for usability studies.
  • Use design thinking techniques to collaborate with team members to influence strategy and roadmap.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure technical business needs are met while maintaining a strong focus on the user experience.
    Who You Are

    • Experience and Technical Skills
    • Strong experience with product-Led Growth UX improvements preferably for B2B/Enterprise SaaS products in the areas of onboarding flows, empty state design, retention, viral loops, gamefication, etc.
    • 6+ years designing user experiences and interaction design for rich, interactive, consumer or enterprise web application.
    • Experience designing for product led growth journeys; very comfortable with behavioral analytics.
    • Data driven mindset - Analyze behavioral analytics funnel data and derive insights. Use these insights to articulate pain points and inform designs
    • Understanding of user psychology and design best practices to improve funnel conversions.
    • Demonstrable past experience in optimizing user journeys that yielded quantifiable outcomes.
    • A good understanding of digital marketing campaigns, creating frictionless onboarding for products and B2B ecommerce including best practices for micro-sites, pricing pages, direct buy and free to paid journeys.
    • A track record of success communicating and driving a design vision
    • Proficient with modern design tools
    • Strong story-telling skills with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts visually and verbally

      Education:

      Degree or work experience equivalent in User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Product or Digital Design
