Job Description

A Staff UI Engineer is an individual with an expert-level command of how to translate and evolve UX specifications to a pixel-perfect standard into the FireEye Design System and accelerate the existing team's front-end development needs to ultimately transform products and the business itself.

This person has a deep understanding of front-end development, interactivity, design system thinking, modern technologies and an understanding of UX while improving usability, accessibility, and business value.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable ability to transform and evolve UX designs into elegant, engaging, and intuitive user interfaces for security-related systems and effectively communicate and persuade others in these areas. They also possess the ability to train, mentor, and grow these skills in other developers of varying experience and skill levels. This dedicated thought-leader understands the business context of their work.

• Lead and drive the problem framing and definition process
• Contribute to the maturing of the UX development team process
• Evangelize modern development process
• Lead and own cross-functional meetings effectively and regularly
• Clarify success metrics and efforts towards delivering business value
  
  Qualifications
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 7+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with multi-platform and multi-form-factor design.
  • Familiarity with multiple web UI technologies and libraries, such as OOCSS, SCSS, CSS3, HTML, D3, javascript, angular, react, polymer, and or others.
  • Experience with current industry standard design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, the Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin, Principal or InVision.
  • Experience using prototyping tools to illustrate user workflows, elicit feedback and in UI and manifest micro-interactions, transitions, and animations.

    • Ability to effectively and constructively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and cross-business teams and assist in driving broad-reaching solutions across the function/business.

      Minimum Salary: $70,000. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations.
      
      Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from FireEye's Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
