Job Description:
Our team at Teledyne LeCroy develops leading edge test and
measurement products. Engineering teams around the globe use our
systems to develop next generation high-performance communication,
consumer electronics and computer products. We are looking for a
self-driven and talented signal integrity Engineer to join our
global hardware expert team developing high speed protocol test
products. You should be open minded, quick learner and able to
understand and define complex high-speed serial-data solutions. Be
part of our passionate team and you get exposure to new products
and technologies years before they reach the market. We have the
pleasure of working with technology industry leaders starting from
the early specification phase all the way through to wide market
adoption. You will participate in engineering effort to conceive,
design, implement and test industry---s leading-edge test and
measurement products for serial protocols technologies. You will
work with multiple teams within our engineering team and across
departments, including Product Management, Application engineering,
Operations and Validation teams. Through hands-on learning,
studying technical specifications, interacting with peers and
end-users, and mentoring, you will extend your expertise in serial
data protocols and in our instruments that test and validate these
protocols, enabling you to be part of a leading expert team in this
field. We are looking for a signal integrity Engineer with the
right composition of knowledge, experience, spirit and drive, to
join a dynamic team that develops leading edge test and measurement
products. Desired experience is 1-5 years in a signal integrity
role. Support Hardware design as Signal Integrity resource: Define
PCB stackup, trace geometries, and PCB materials that best meet the
design criteria Simulate PCB structures using ANSYS 3D field solver
to optimize PCB layout Optimize connector interfaces and IC lead-in
and lead-out for best performance Perform Power integrity
simulations to optimize filter components, PCB layout, and validate
power integrity will meet target requirements Measure and
characterize HW subcomponents for SI performance Measure PCB
components using VNA and gather s-parameter data Simulate and
publish s-parameter performance to validate if design meets
performance target Measure clock jitter with oscilloscope and
validate if jitter performance is met. Measure power nets with
oscilloscope to validate if PDN performance meets expectations
Perform serdes simulations using IBIS AMI models on Keysight ADS
software Validate Serdes performance can meet target BER Identify
optimal TX EQ and RX EQ settings for maximum performance Quantify
channel operating margin -- Strong interpersonal, organizational

including, oscilloscope, Bert, and VNA -- Familiarity with at least

Education: BS in Electrical Engineering --- a must. MS or higher
preferred
