Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end software quality of the product/solution.
  • Effectively manage QA coverage across multiple projects
  • Design processes and workflows for end-to-end functional, Integration, stress and stability testing.
  • Design a detailed document and thorough test plans to include test coverage and test cases to ensure product quality.
  • Provide exceptional communication support and effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Work collaboratively with the product management and different component of engineering team such as the Platform, API, Cloud and client to package and deliver a high-quality product/solution.---
  • Exceptional understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
  • Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot, analyze, and isolate complex software issues and configuration problems in heterogeneous environments
  • Experience in test coverage measurement, and results reporting.
  • Propose improvements to our existing processes and tools in order to improve the team's speed, quality and efficiency.
  • Work in an agile development environment while continuously evaluating and improving engineering processes and mentoring junior team members.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor/master's degree in computer science engineering or related technical field.
    • 8+---years---of---experience testing Consumer-Facing software & hardware across multiple platforms
    • 5+ years of experience of clients and API testing
      Preferred
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to multi-task well and change focus quickly
      • Creative thinker and strong problem solver
      • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
      • Highly organized, motivated and passionate about achieving results
      • Extensive experience working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment
      • Serve as a guide and mentor for junior-level QA engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques.

        Compensation & Benefits Details
        • An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
        • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
        • You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
