thing in data.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a principal
engineer in the core team to join our Electronic Memory Design
Engineering team. The successful candidate will develop innovative
sensing circuits & algorithmic solutions for our memory design
projects.Responsibilities
- Develop sensing architecture to meet product
specifications.
- Drive technical efforts necessary to bridge cell & algo
requirements, verification, active energy, die size goals and power
requirements.
- Provide sensing circuits solutions to optimize area, active
power, leakage power and performance.
- Develop sensing path model for the array to run cell algorithms
and critical functionality simulations.
- Work with the cell technology team to satisfy requirements for
the cell algorithms.
- Work with the project team to deliver full chip or block level
floorplans.
- Able to create schedules, drive tasks independently &
efficiently to completion.
- Communicate efficiently between design, cell, logic, process,
product/test, and architecture teams.Qualifications7 years of
experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. Master's degree
is preferred.SkillsRequired:
- Experience with custom circuit design simulation & waveform
tools like HPSICE, SPECTRE, FINESIM, EZWAVE or similar tools.
- In-depth knowledge of analog building blocks including sense
amplifiers, core address drivers, regulators, bandgap, current
mirrors, level shifters, buffering circuits, DAC, ADC, temperature
sensors (PTAT), high speed CMOS circuits.
- Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics.
- Experience with HV & LV transistors and designing to foundry
PDK.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar design suite
tools.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to collaborate with
cross functional teams including analog & logic design engineers,
mask designers, CAD, and TD.
- Self-motivated, creative thinking, strong debug skills,
mentoring, motivational and positive attitude.
- In depth knowledge of analog & mixed signal circuits & concepts
including mismatch, linearity, low power CMOS design.Preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with UNIX, PERL or/and Python scripting.
- Ability to mentor junior mentors with design activities.
- Design experience with NAND or DRAM or SRAM or similar memory

- An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based
on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant
education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2)

internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational
needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible
compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may
ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is
only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs
that can be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in
the future.
- You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's
Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under
our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of
restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these
programs. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires,
subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for
