YAGEO Group Field Application Engineers (FAE) will travel with their sales team within their assigned territory to meet with a diverse group of customers at the forefront of innovation. The ideal candidate should have an outgoing personality, an interest in learning about new technologies, and a desire to collaborate with some of the top names in the electronics industry, particularly in Silicon Valley (the position is based in Milpitas, CA).If you like helping customers, sales, and product teams find solutions to design challenges; then the FAE role is for you. As an FAE, you will learn YAGEO Group's products and their applications to assist customers' product development engineers with the technical aspects of their design. Working with customers, the FAE will help uncover technological trends and translate their needs to our Product Business Unit (PBU) Managers for incorporation into product development roadmaps. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and help others throughout the organization by conducting educational training and creating content.Focus design disciplines include Low Voltage DC, AC, and Power, EMI, and Sensors.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maximize cross-sell opportunities for YAGEO Group products with customers
  • Understand applications, ranging from digital to high power inverters, in target markets (Computing/Telecom, Industrial, Military/Aerospace, Medical, Consumer, etc.)
  • Answer technical questions in a timely fashion
  • Resolve technical objections
  • Technical liaison between sales, Product Business Unit Manager, and manufacturing
  • Deep product knowledge
  • Systematically funnel customer data to the business unit development teams and marketing for inclusion in product roadmaps
  • Provide technical training on new products and technology to customers and sales personnel (direct, manufacturers' representatives, distribution).
  • Provide feedback to Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering about the competitive environment, market acceptance of devices, and identification of opportunities and features for new products/product areas
  • Contribute to the expanding ecosystem of our digital design tools
  • Participate in industry groups critical to our core business
  • Participate in industry events, tradeshows, and customer events
  • Sales calls, call reports, selling tools (presentations, technical information, demos), articles, application notes, etc.Requirements:
    • BS in Electrical Engineering
    • Effective interpersonal skills
    • Ability to present moderate to highly technical materials to diverse audiences
    • Excellent proactive problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Minimum 5+ years FAE and/or Design Engineering experience, preferably with semiconductor and/or power supply design experience
    • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. proficiently and experience utilizing CRM tools
