Senior Manager, E2E Equipment Planning will develop, coach and lead the buyer/planner, service/spare, and equipment planning team in the execution and strategy of Milpitas, Planning, and Surgical Vision goals. They will operate the E2E Equipment Supply Chain from demand handover, to material ordering, production planning, and through to production completion and shipping. They will build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional teams. They will optimize the flow of materials, while considering plant warehouse capacity and inventory targets, eliminating potential disruptions in the storage area, minimizing both storage costs and potential SLOB, utilizing inventory entitlement concepts.

Supply Chain Optimization:
--- Drives a robust process and drumbeat to manage business rules and planning parameters
(including safety stocks and inventory targets), transportation lanes, replenishment methods,
and process tolerance and triggers to enable an input-driven E2E Planning process based on
current supply chain capabilities
--- Develops a culture of accountability around maintaining these key supply chain inputs (both
within planning and with other key functions) that reflect actual performance as it exists in the
current state
--- Develops and leads implementation of optimization of supply chain capabilities (e.g. reduce
lead times, optimize production rhythm) to further improve the supply chain

Supply Chain Synchronization:
--- Manages execution of the E2E Sense and Respond process, ensuring deviations / alerts from
defined tolerances are actioned and escalated (as needed) as defined by process inputs
--- Manages multi-echelon recovery planning efforts for a value stream
--- Evaluates the multi-echelon impact of supply disruptions and recommends prioritized actions to
resolve and balance all relevant trade-offs. Leverages Scenario Planning capabilities as
required
--- Periodically evaluates options to optimize the E2E value stream within the current SC
infrastructure
--- Drives communication through S&OP processes to ensure cross functional alignment on
proposed optimal scenario and ensures S&OP decisions are implemented


Other:
--- Builds and develops a high-performing E2E Planning / Procurement team.
--- Ensures E2E Planning team engagement in S&OP Processes to provide transparency of risks
and opportunities to drive profitable trade-off decisions.
--- Drives implementation of best practices in E2E planning. Utilizes process excellence/ six sigma
tools to drive continuous improvement of E2E planning processes
--- Manages potential abrupt deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes, rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible. Participates in daily tier production meetings providing material supply updates.
--- DRI for supply disruption for the materials managed, status updates at weekly supply meeting.
--- Participates in MRB (Material Review Board) meetings, interfaces with QA, Engineering and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making the necessary physical arrangement with the supplier to ensure a prompt return of goods or disposal.
Qualifications
--- Minimum 8 years related experience (i.e, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Supply & Production Planning, Procurement etc.) required.
--- Experience with ERP systems (i.e., SAP/APO/SNP) is required.
--- Planning and/or manufacturing experience in a Medical/Pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry preferred.
--- Experience working in a plant environment is required.
--- Previous people leadership (i.e., direct reports) required.
--- Experience building strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles required.
--- Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment required.
--- Demonstrated experience challenging the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality required.
--- Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
--- Ability to make decisions based on data analytics and business insights required.
--- Up to -15% travel domestically and internationally required.
