The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and managing communications projects including campaigns, social media, presentations, and more to help promote the Foundation's story; and general office and program administration, such as organizing meetings and conference calls, document management, accounting, booking travel, coordinating and submitting receipts, purchase orders, etc. The Manager would join a small but mighty team in a supportive environment where we work collaboratively to accomplish great things.The Communications and Administration Manager will provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director; monitor the budget, support the administering of various global programs; and create, implement, and disseminate various communications materials for the team and organization. The Manager will need to be creative, energetic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and projects at any given time. All team members and the organization have diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values and practice these values every day.This is a full-time position which reports directly to the Executive Director of the SEMI Foundation and is based in Milpitas, CA.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support Communications (35%)

  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the SEMI Foundation's marketing plan
  • Plan and create PowerPoint presentations, flyers, social media posts, newsletters, and other communication materials for programs and executive presentations
  • Oversee and coordinate video and design projects
  • Maintain and track events, holidays, national days, and celebrations related to our industry and diversity, equity, and inclusion; plot, write, and post timely content relevant to each
  • Regularly update social media channels and websiteSupport Programs (30%)
    • Coordinate the Foundation's Mentoring Program: match pairs, track progress, attend meetings, provide reports to participants
    • Track DEI representation in SEMI events and committees, boards, and councils
    • Support administrative duties for High Tech U program, including meetings, logistics, communications, catering, A/V, ordering
    • supplies, setup, etc.Support Operations (30%)
      • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, such as booking meetings, preparing communications, and other duties
      • Enter budgets into Aptify, including mid-year forecasting
      • Execute sales orders, vendor invoices, expense report approvals, and payments in Netsuite
      • Work with accounting team to create invoices, track donations, add new vendors, obtain W-9's, and work with auditors
      • Facilitate on-site and virtual meetings: book rooms/calls, order catering, create badges, set up rooms, coordinate with IT and A/V, etc.
      • Liaise with legal department on general issuesSupport Development (5%)
        • Research opportunities via,, and other avenues
        • Fill out organizational information on grant applications; fill in boilerplate narrativeWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
          • SEMI Foundation leadership has the communications and administrative support needed to move the Foundation's vision forward

          • Foundation programs and operations run smoothlyCRITICAL SKILLS:
            • Excellent written and oral communication skills
            • Ability to oversee multiple projects working with contractors and team members
            • Strong computer and design skills
            • Demonstrated knowledge of office administrative practices and procedures
            • Facility with budget/accounting software
            • Quick study in learning new systems/software
            • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
            • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
            • Keen eye for details; hyper organized
            • Skilled in the use and writing styles of social media
            • Team player, willingness to work across the Foundation's initiatives and support other members of the team
            • Some overnight travel requiredPREFERRED SKILLS:
              • Working knowledge or willingness to learn Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Salesforce, and Aptify
              • Facility with elements of the Adobe Creative CloudPREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
                • BS/BA degree or relevant experience
                • 5+ years of communications and administration experience
