Job Description:
The Program Manager of L&OD drives initiatives focused on
enhancing employee skills, increasing knowledge and providing
employees with experiences encouraging the learning and immediate
application of competencies and capabilities linked to business
needs. The Program Manager will work with the Director to design,
develop and facilitate the delivery of learning content (both
in-person and virtual) to senior leaders, group leaders,
supervisors, and professional staff and manage other, broader human
resources focused programs for the OD Department. Areas of focus
may include leadership, culture, management and other supervisory
capabilities, HR program/process, DE&I. etc. They will provide
proven project management skills and expert knowledge of adult
learning theories to champion organizational programs and processes
designed to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance
improvement opportunities. The scope of the position requires
expertise in evaluating and delivering learning methodologies,
talent development program creation, implementation, measurement,
and reporting, as well as consulting in the organizational
development space related to change management practices,
organizational health, and continuing to foster a learning
culture.Responsibilities:
- Performs learning needs analysis and learning journey design in
collaboration with stakeholders identifying gaps and developing
targeted programs to address organizational needs.
- Manages the development, planning, delivery, and administration
of Organizational Development programs (such as Leadership
Development) utilizing the best of adult learning theory, project
management skills and instructional design practices.
- Curates learning offerings and participates in the development
of internal programs as well as the selection and management of
vendor and other contracted resources, including budget management
and timely delivery of content.
- Provides training and communication resources to managers and
OD partners with best practices and guides for effectively
utilizing programs for team member development.
- Demonstrates business, industry, and program knowledge to be
effective in delivering assigned programs.
- Provides knowledge support in the selection of the most
appropriate learning strategies, tools, and technologies by
leveraging a variety of learning platforms, e.g., virtual,
classroom, e-learning, etc.
- Consults on best practices for employee and manager development
planning, coaching, change management, training evaluation, and 360
feedback and other assessment options.
- Provides overview/review sessions coordinated with annual
programs such as performance management, calibration/talent review,
and succession planning.
- Drives organizational adoption of initiatives by providing
compelling information, overview/briefing sessions and monitoring
adoption/application rates.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and resource supporting
performance management, calibration, and succession planning
processes. This includes facilitating talent development reviews,
managing process preparation and scheduling, and consolidating
metrics for reporting to executive leadership.
- Supports the calibration/talent review process through
communication, planning, assessments, periodic monitoring, and
continuous improvement.
- Facilitates follow-up learning activities, solicits feedback,
and evaluates the impact of training programs as they relate to key
performance metrics.
- Works with Director on planning and budget development for the
group.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- BA/BS degree required and Masters in HR / Organizational
psychology or related field is desirable.
- 6+ years of experience managing HR functions and/or programs
including the delivery of training programs focused on leadership,
management, professional development, and HR discipline.
- Demonstrated success as a project/program manager, delivering
leadership, management, and supervisory knowledge and skills.
- Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual workshops
and using emerging learning technologies to enhance the learning
environment.
- Proven experience in preparing a classroom and virtual learning
environment and conducting training for 5 to 100 participants as
well as evaluate courses post-delivery.
- Relevant Human Resources experience with strong content
knowledge across all domains (acquisition, performance management,
compensation and benefits, learning and organizational development,
HRIS)
- A strong ability to develop and maintain relationships at
different levels within the organization.
- Knowledge and practical experience in the areas of succession
planning, workforce planning, performance management, DE&I and
employee relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the
ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels;
strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to relate HR and talent
needs to those of the wider organization.
- Must possess strong negotiating, influencing, and consulting
skills and demonstrate a keen attention to details.We are an Equal
