OpportunityKey Responsibilities
- You will identify and create new departmental procedures while
following Roche Quality system procedures.
- You will provide senior technical advisory support on complex
process or product issues and offer technical guidance to
cross-functional teams.
- You will act as a resource for complex technical issues,
leveraging organizational resources to achieve strategic on-market
goals.
- You will coordinate and facilitate training programs,
understanding global customer needs and driving improvements to
meet training requirements.
- You will possess a broad understanding of products and systems,
actively participating in pre-DI development activities and
ensuring customer requirements are met before launch.Who you
areRequired Qualifications & Experience
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational
Biology, or an equivalent field, along with 8 years of relevant
technical experience.
- You have 2 years of experience demonstrating increasing
leadership competencies.
- You possess strong negotiation and influencing skills to
effectively communicate objectives, deadlines, and expectations.
Manages accountabilities to inspire and motivate others to perform
at their best.
- You demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and
logical thinking skills. Can easily communicate complex ideas and
solutions to non-technical users.
- You have advanced knowledge of genomics, including extensive
experience with secondary/tertiary analysis of NGS data,
interpretation of public annotation databases, and proficiency with
tools such as BLAST, Bowtie, and Clustal.
- You are proficient in Bash, Python, and R, with a high degree
of familiarity with Debian and RedHat-based distributions,
particularly in system service and process configurations.
- You have an understanding of networking fundamentals and
services (IPv4, DNS, DHCP) is required, and project management
experience in a scientific or academic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of information security and data privacy fundamentals is
also desired.Travel Requirements/Location RequirementsThe employee
will be located in Santa Clara, CA (with up to 2 days per week
onsite)--- Travel time: 25% both domestic and international,
required.The expected salary range for this position based on the
primary location of Santa Clara, CA is $106,100 - 197,000. Actual
pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications,
geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by
law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on
individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies
