The Tech-4-Intuit (t4i) team is responsible for building Intuit's
core capabilities surrounding enterprise applications and
infrastructure. Our team owns a series of capabilities spanning
enterprise Finance, People and Places tech, Learning, digital
collaboration, enterprise infrastructure, privacy and more. Our
broader set of stakeholders include Intuit's Finance team, Human
Resources team, Brand and Experience team, Legal team and all of
Intuit employees. The t4i team works closely with these
stakeholders to ensure we are delivering the enterprise
capabilities needed to support Intuit's scale, growth and provide
best in class employee experience.
The t4i team has been on a platform journey, to ensure our
customers get a seamless experience across our products. We are
consolidating and standardizing all our backend processes onto a
common set of capabilities. We are also in the process of
evaluating different vendor capabilities through a build vs buy
strategy to provide the best-in-class tech capabilities for our
stakeholders and employees.
The Chief Architect - Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure is
a vice president level role that will report to the Chief
Information Officer and is responsible for driving tech strategy
for all the enterprise capabilities. The role will partner closely
with leaders from t4i Product Management, t4i Engineering and from
Accelerated Functions (Finance, HR, Legal) to understand the
business needs and put together a strategy roadmap and establish a
durable pattern to support Intuit's growth and scale through
technology and automation.
What you'll bring
Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or closely related
discipline, or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of software product development experience with 5+
working as an enterprise or solutions architect.
Demonstrated ability to research and learn new technologies and
business processes independently and apply them as needed.
Passion for facilitative leadership, collaboration and lead teams
across boundaries.
Proven capability to communicate and collaborate at all levels -
from front line engineers to senior leaders.
Have a firm understanding of systems engineering and
high-availability design.
Understand the benefits and trade-offs between asynchronous and
synchronous processing.
Iterative software development fundamentals are under your belt,
including possibly experience with SCRUM, Agile or other iterative
approaches.
Have strong business acumen to be able to bridge technical and
business priorities.
Track record of collaboration and influence - recognized as a great
partner for the business and technology teams.
Entrepreneurial and self-motivated to change the world.
How you will lead
This role is accountable to:
Influence and act as an expert technologist capable of evaluating
technology partners and their applicability to solve our needs in
enterprise systems.
Govern the enterprise systems technology standards for the company
to ensure consistent and compliant application.
Lead technical solution architecture for big impact, cross-Intuit
initiatives, mainly focused on enterprise technologies that impact
the employee life cycle and finance capabilities.
Partner with the architects community at Intuit to co-drive
architectural imperatives and adopt engineering best practices
within enterprise systems.
Collaborate with engineering and product management leaders within
t4i and beyond to deliver outcomes representing Enterprise
systems.
Build the Intuit technology brand, attract top talent and represent
Intuit at external events that accelerate Intuit platform
journey.
Develop, inspire and hold accountable senior technologists across
Intuit but with specific focus on the areas of accountability
Required
Deep understanding of business processes and technology landscape
in above capabilities, specifically in finance and HR space.
Provide thought leadership across a number of interdependent
engineering teams, architects, systems and business leaders.
Influences the shaping of enterprise technologies and by
contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple
systems (build and/or buy).
Masterful technical documentation and presentation skills to
communicate architectural and design options, educating development
teams and business users.
Act as an industry thought leader, continuing to share Intuit's
growth story as one of the top SaaS, data-driven, and cloud
deployed companies on the web.
Build prototypes to rapidly iterate on the problem and zero in on
the optimal customer experience.
Participate in cross-company technology initiatives
