Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Oakland, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,597 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/24/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years Pediatric Oncology/In-Patient Oncology experience required. License: Valid RN License required. Certifications: AHA BLS PALS Chemo (ONS/ONCC) preferred APHON preferred Must-Have: COVID-19 vaccination and booster are required, with medical or religious exemptions only. Description: The role involves providing nursing care to pediatric oncology patients. Candidates must have experience in administration and monitoring of chemotherapy. Skills required include management of side effects and complications related to treatment. The nurse will perform IV therapy and work with a variety of medications, including antivirals and antifungals. Knowledge of pediatric patient populations, infection control, and isolation precautions is necessary. The nurse will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. Strong communication and patient/family education skills are essential. The position may require floating to different departments or units as needed. The nurse should have familiarity with patient/family education regarding treatment plans. Clinical skills in wound care, phlebotomy, and central line management are necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassionate care and support for pediatric patients and their families.
