Job Description:
About Abridge Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of
powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered
platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving
clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to
focus on what matters most—their patients. Our enterprise-grade
technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into
structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations.
Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we
are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground
truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As
pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the
industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across
health systems. We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI
scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working
together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have
offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo
neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh. The Role
Abridge sits at the point of care and captures structured clinical
data from every patient-clinician conversation in real-time:
diagnoses, procedures, clinical history, treatment plans, and
medical necessity narratives. This positions us uniquely to expand
beyond clinical documentation into revenue cycle workflows where
clinical data drives reimbursement. The current processes between
payers and creates friction, administrative burden, delays in care,
and worse experiences for patients and clinicians alike, and an “AI
arms race” might only make it worse. We believe there’s a different
path. We want build bridges between payers and providers—products
that shift administrative work left to where the clinical decision
happens, without turning clinicians into coders, to create fewer
denials, faster reimbursement, reduced administrative costs, and
better experiences for everyone involved. We need a strategic PM
who can define, ship, and scale 0?1 products that unlock this
vision. You’ll build deep partnerships with health system revenue
cycle leaders and payers (expanding on our already-announced
collaborations with the ecosystem), identify the right workflows to
solve first, and create products that deliver measurable value
while fitting seamlessly into clinical and operational workflows.
You will shape one of these new products from day-1, defining what
we build and in what order, build cross-functional alignment on
roadmap success metrics, and help establish Abridge as a trusted
partner in bridging the payer-provider divide. What You’ll Do
Define product strategy and roadmap. Identify the workflows where
Abridge’s clinical data creates defensible competitive advantage.
Prioritize across different sets of opportunities based on buyer
value, clinical workflow fit, and potential to build bridges
between payers and providers rather than exacerbate adversarial
dynamics. Navigate complex clinical and operational workflows.
Design product experiences that shift administrative work left to
the point of care without creating clinician burden or turning
clinicians into coders. Balance real-time intervention
opportunities with operational batch workflows. Ensure deep
integration with EHR, billing systems, and payer platforms.
Leverage domain expertise in healthcare data and/or revenue cycle
management, e.g. the end-to-end claims lifecycle, payer policies,
prior authorization requirements, and how clinical documentation
connects to reimbursement. Understand incentive structures, where
friction exists between payers and providers, and where
collaboration creates mutual value. Drive enterprise partnerships
with both providers and payers. Partner closely with Abridge’s
commercial leadership and the clinical and revenue cycle leadership
at payers and health systems to understand pain points operational
impact, and validate product direction. Translate complex,
sometimes competing stakeholder needs into clear product
requirements that create value for all parties. Ship 0?1 products
that deliver measurable impact. Define and execute on MVP scope
that proves value with design partners. Establish clear KPIs around
administrative efficiency, time savings, reimbursement cycle time,
and user experience. Build toward a defensible ROI story that
demonstrates value for providers, payers, and patients. What You
Bring 5 years of product management experience with expertise in
B2B healthcare products, ideally in revenue cycle management,
health IT, or adjacent domains. Commercial fluency. You've worked
closely with sales, partnerships, or BD on early-stage deals
Comfort with ambiguity. You're good at running discovery, forming
hypotheses, and updating quickly when you're wrong. Strong
cross-functional credibility. You can talk to ML scientists about
model outputs, to lawyers about data use agreements, and to a
pharma VP about their clinical development pipeline. Clear, direct
communication. You write and speak well. You can take something
complicated and make it simple without losing precision. Bonus
Points If… You have built products at the intersection of clinical
workflows and financial/administrative operations. You have direct
experience shipping revenue cycle, billing, coding, or prior
authorization products. You understand payer policies, medical
necessity criteria, and prior authorization workflows. You have
experience with Epic, Cerner, or other EHR billing and revenue
cycle modules. You have managed design partner relationships or
early-stage enterprise pilots in healthcare. You have experience
building collaborative solutions that create value for multiple
stakeholders with competing interests. Why Work at Abridge? At
