Job Description
As a HR Business Partner you will be responsible for providing
strategic HR Business partner support for our Flash Product
leaders. This role will actively participate in the business
planning process as a valued member of the business unit leadership
team and drive strategic initiatives that result in business value
and impact. This includes being responsible for translating
business plans into talent, engagement, and organization plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to a
designated executives
- Actively participates with business leaders, developing deep
connections, to plan and execute effective business strategies that
create tangible business value
- Leverages deep understanding of the business to translate
business plans into clear business-focused talent, engagement, and
organization strategies that achieve business outcomes
- Ensures strong execution of identified people strategies using
an enterprise mindset that balances the business needs with
company-wide priorities and initiatives
- Drives the Business Unit (BU) talent agenda and provides clear
leadership on BU talent management, including assessing,
developing, coaching, and mentoring critical executive talent as
part of implementing the company-wide talent management
processes
- Supports BU-level M&A activity, both in assessing targets,
evaluating cultural alignment, and ensuring smooth implementation
and harmonization
- Actively engages with business leaders to ensure organization
effectiveness and optimal organization design
- Provides change management counsel and support as an advocate
for company-wide initiatives
- Partners with executives on executive hiring and reward
decisions
- Leads and participates in cross-functional working teams on
strategic initiatives
- Proactively partners and collaborates across the global HR
organization, serving as the voice of the business to global HR
initiatives and providing thought leadership and a
solution-oriented mindset to optimize the business value of the HR
function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with relevant certification
preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources or relevant
experience
- Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on
results and developing high performing team members
- Experience working and navigating globally - experience working
with Asia markets and cultures a plus
- Demonstrated success in developing cutting edge global strategy
and driving process improvements in a global workplace
- Experience and resiliency in leading and supporting
transformation and change
- Proven track record of influencing, leading and facilitating
large scale strategic initiatives with multiple senior
stakeholders
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills
(including presentation skills) across levels, with an ability to
persuade and influence, and the ability to build enthusiasm and
commitment
- Goal-oriented, proactive, resourceful, accountable and
passionate about driving results
- Strong business, data and financial acumen
- An agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and an
ability to deal with ambiguity

Compensation & Benefits Details
- An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based
on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant
education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2)
skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance,
contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6)
internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational
needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible
compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may
ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is
only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs
that can be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in
the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital's
Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards
based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role
and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our
annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of
restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the
terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible
to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible
for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to
eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and
Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
