There is never a dull moment with us.Group/DivisionThe Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with peers and other cross-functional team members including define sub-system design requirement specifications and design architecturesManage multi-disciplinary electrical design projects with hands-on contributions from scoping, requirements, budget/resource planning, gap analysis, risk management, design implementation, validation and release through engineering product design life cyclesManage and collaborate across multi-technical disciplines and cross-functional teamsManage design reviews and phase exitsManage value-added third party vendors, services and contractors/consultants to deliver turn-key design solutionsProvide project status updates to upper management and stakeholder committeesCommunicate and work effectively with a global engineering teamDesired QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and systems engineering for development, sustaining and continuous improvementIn-depth knowledge of complexed electrical, electronics, board level and sub-system design principles with proven good track recordExperience in any of following area - mixed signal board level design, FPGA/CPLD, imaging acquisitions, camera systems, motion controls, etc., would be a plus.Must be a team player and have strong leadership, critical thinking, drive to executions, effective communication and problem-solving skills including good presentation skillsExperience as hardware or software development team leader is a plusExperience in semi-conductor capital equipment development is a plusPrevious engineering functional management role is a plusMinimum QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and systems engineering for development, sustaining and continuous improvementWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
