The Role:As a Principal Software Engineer, you are a leader and you
are committed to being key part of the team building our next
generation of Lawful Intercept product through innovation and
through modeling exceptional engineering skills. Our clients are
committed to protecting societies one community at a time and our
engineering team is also committed to our mission of providing a
tool that is relied on for success in the industry.
Using your C++/Python/Go, network protocol and cloud computing
(K8s, Docker, AWS etc.) knowledge, you will bring your passion for
engineering and participate in the reengineering and innovation of
our flagship product to be deployed in high performance, scalable,
and virtualized cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement SS8 Lawful Intercept
product using C++/Python/Go based on requirements - Responsible for
eco system development including functional and design
specifications, coding, unit testing as well as thorough functional
testing - Perform and manage integrations with company's automation
test framework - Lead and perform code reviews and test case
specification reviews - Mentor, guide, and support the development
of other engineers - Provide consistent and collaborative oversight
of the technical aspects of projects - Ensure that the software
meets the quality standards of the company - Actively research and
educate team on other technologies, new methods or innovations
Experience and Qualifications: - MS or BS in Computer Engineering,
or Electrical Engineering, or 9+ years of relevant experience -
High-level of hands-on development experience preferably in Linux
environment using C++/Python/Go - Good knowledge of network
communication protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SIP etc. -
Experience on container and orchestration technology. E.g., Docker,
Kubernetes etc. - Experience on building cloud-based solutions in
AWS/Azure/GCP - Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills
in a start-up environment - Able to think from user perspective
(UI, UIX) to simplify design for better user experience - Able to
proactively communicate within your team, with other functions, and
towards product stakeholders
Fast Track: - Demonstrated and executed best development practices
such as TDD etc. - Proved capability with DevOps CI/CD concepts and
tools. E.g. Jenkins, Ansible etc.
