Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop cloud applications for a security monitoring system integration with Partners, including the core IoT and data platform, Identity Management, as well as APIs and test frameworks.
Own and be responsible for multiple components in the system, creating new solutions or adapting existing ones as appropriate.
Deliver the features with excellent quality, performance and documentation.
Work closely with DevOps and Security engineers to build secure, easily deployable solutions.
Contribute in all phases of the product development cycle: product requirements, functional specification, prototyping, implementation, documentation, testing and deployment.
Take an active role in continuously improving the development process.
Required Qualifications:
7 years of Experience in designing and developing REST based applications for large scale systems.
Experience with Java, Spring boot, AWS (DynamoDB, S3, SQS/SNS, EKS etc.) MQTT, NoSQL.
Familiarity with a Linux development environment. Thorough understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
Strong understanding of micro-service and streaming architectures, principles and patterns.
Experience developing cloud-native applications, cloud infrastructures, big data pipelines (AWS Preferred).
Experience with DevOps - Jenkins, Containers/Kubernetes deployments.
Familiarity with basic networking and security concepts.
Excellent communication skills to work with multi-functional groups.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude to a dynamic working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Understanding of IoT technologies and communications protocols.
Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages
Experience in cloud-based (AWS) software applications/services, with deep knowledge of IoT and Data & Analytics components and services.
Hands-on experience designing and developing streaming and IoT data pipelines (preferably using AWS services)
Experience with MQTT, Serverless (Lambda), and SSL/TLS.
