Salary Range:

• $170k-$220K Description:
  
  As the Director of Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in our organization by overseeing software development and quality assurance processes for SS8 Lawful Intercept (LI) mediation and sensor production. You will closely collaborate with our product management and service teams to provide technical leadership, develop strategic approaches, and execute projects utilizing a wide range of proprietary and open-source technologies.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the development and QA organization for building our Lawful Intercept (LI) products, ensuring they align with requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity by optimizing engineering processes.
  • Build automation as part of the process to ensure one-click deployments and high percentage of automation testing.
  • Provide hands on leadership in critical technology transitions.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning among team members.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent to maximize their potential. Experience and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of 10 years in managing distributed teams of engineers, including team growth and development.
    • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in system design, data structures, analysis, and software design.
    • Proficient in computer programming and well-versed in the software development life cycle.
    • Strong experience in conducting technical, in-depth code reviews and searches.
    • Deep understanding of project management and resource management.
    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience in a Linux environment using C++, Java, Python, or Go.
    • Good knowledge of telecom or network communication protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SIP, RTP etc.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for addressing challenges in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming, including familiarity with design patterns.
    • Strong knowledge and experience in building cloud-based solutions in AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud environments.
    • Knowledge of Kubernetes environments and cluster management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice to have:
      • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
      • Experience in Machine Learning algorithms and tools.
      • Proven experience in designing, building, deploying, or managing distributed systems at a significant scale.
      • An ability to thrive in diverse teams and environments with varying opinions and perspectives.
