Job Description:
Position Summary: PDF is seeking a senior systems engineer to
join the R&D team to work closely with PDF internal engineering
team and with our customers towards various complex
electrical/mechanical/optical problems related to eProbe inspection
systems that are used at 300mm semiconductor wafer fabs to
implement PDF's Designfor-Inspection (DFITM) methodology used in
yield ramp and manufacturing control. The senior systems engineer
will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, intensive and highly
productive small team environment. Headquartered in Santa Clara,

news and information, visit Job Duties The engineer will play a key
role in Ebeam inspection system characterization, data analyzing,
and troubleshooting Imaging noise characterization and
troubleshooting at sub-system and system levels in a complex
semiconductor electron beam inspection tool. Noise sources include,
but not limited to, electronics, mechanics, electromagnetic
interference, and etc. Simulation and modelling of various
physical/electrical phenomena pertaining to Ebeam inspection
system, which include electromagnetic interference (EM shielding,
magnetic field cancellation, and etc.), static electric fields,
material breakdown under high voltage, and etc. Write prototype
machine control program (e.g., Labview) to help execute systematic
measurements. Analyze and visualize data with scripting languages,
such as Python. Bench tests in a lab setting for interdisciplinary
fields, such as high voltage electronics, magnetics, EMI/EMC, and
etc. Creation of procedures/test reports, presentation, and
effective communication with the team
Qualifications and Skills Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Physics, or an equivalent engineering fieldSenior Systems Engineer
BS with 5 years' industrial experience, or MS with 3 years'
experience, or Ph.D. Strong hands-on experimental design experience
and measurement skills. Industrial and/or academia experience in
Ebeam inspection, Ebeam lithography, and SEM/TEM is a plus.
Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools e.g. COMSOL, HFSS,
CST, ANSYS, Opera, Understanding of EMI/EMC, familiar with relevant
testing facilities and equipment, and finding solutions for
mitigation to improve tool performance. Strong experience in data
analytics and systems engineering with programming/scripting, as
necessary LabVIEW programming experience is a plus Python
programming experience is a plus Proven ability to work well with
cross-functional teams Excellent Communications Skills, both
written and verbal.
