We are seeking a talented, creative and highly motivated scientist/ Scientist II specialized in phage display and/or molecular biology.This position is in our Lead Discovery Group and the individual shares our vision of building Client antibody-based biologics for unmet medical needs and our mission of affordable innovation.

The successful candidate will be working in diverse area of lead discovery research including design/ construction of antibody libraries (nave, immune), utilizing different approaches such as phage display, hybridoma, B cell culture, protein engineering and mammalian antibody expression for therapeutic biologics discovery. The role involves working within a team on various antibody discovery projects in parallel. The candidate will work closely with individuals in functional assay and protein sciences groups to innovate and build the next generation of protein therapeutics. The candidate will have access to state of the art of antibody discovery and engineering technologies and will be expected to continue our tradition of developing Client methods and technologies that enhance our therapeutic discovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility will be lead identification and optimization from antibody phage display libraries or hybridoma or other techniques
• Carry out hands-on work to apply molecular biology tools to design, engineer and build nave/ immune phage display libraries
• Implement high throughput screening and early biophysical characterization for antibody lead discovery
• Implement molecular biology methods for humanization, IgG reformatting and other aspects of antibody engineering
• Independently analyze results, interpret and present in multifunctional internal teams
• Coach/mentor junior staffs
  Requirements:
  • For Scientist I position, Ph.D with2+ years working experience or a Master's with 5+ years of industry experience in a biotech/ biopharm company preferably in antibody discovery
  • For Scientist II, PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, immunology or related discipline with minimum of 3+ years working experience
  • Strong hands-on molecular biology experience with library design/construction
  • Experience with lead discovery by phage display, hybridoma and/or single B cell culture
  • Experience in high throughput screening such as ELISA, FACS and SPR/OCTET
  • Experience with antibody expression, purification and protein analytical techniques is a plus
  • Deep understanding of biologics drug discovery, demonstrated experience of critically analyzing and solving complex scientific problems
  • Ability and desire to work in an interdisciplinary scientific team and the desire to learn new techniques
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, flexible and collaborative team environment, to deliver tangible outcomes with quality, speed and innovation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to diverse teams Job Type: Direct Placement
