Our team focuses on development of thin-film stack and processes used to build our electrochromic device. As a member of the R team, you will be responsible for advancing fundamental understanding of our thin film deposition process, develop process control methodologies, and propose process changes to improve overall thin film stack performance and durability. While the position is based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA, you will also work closely with the technology team at our production facility in Olive Branch, MS, in order to test and transfer improved processes to high-volume manufacturing tools.ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES+ Development and optimization of thin-film PVD processes to improve the device stack+ Application of advanced plasma characterization techniques to deepen understanding of the electrochromic stack deposition process+ Development and implementation of process control methodologies+ Interface with Operations and Durability teams on device fabrication and testing aspects+ Interface with the Production team on process transferDESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES+ Expertise in sputter deposition processes (DC/ Pulsed DC/ AC/ RF) with emphasis on plasma characterization is required+ Hands-on experience with plasma characterization techniques such as optical emission spectroscopy or Langmuir probe, is required+ Experience with optical, electrical, and materials thin-film characterization techniques is preferred+ Familiarity with statistical data analysis methods (SPC, DOE, ANOVA) is required; working knowledge of JMP is preferred+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills+ Travel up to 30% EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE+ Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field is required+ Industrial experience in one or more of the following areas: glass coating, flat panel display, solar, disc drive media or similar industries is preferred ?View, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.?
