Production Planning's purpose is to enable improved and/or sustained customer service satisfaction through meeting demand for a product over a period of time. In addition to ensuring the desired customer service level is maintained, production planning seeks to improve operating efficiency and optimize resource usage and inventory investment.

Key Responsibilities: Convert the unconstraint net requirements into a site level feasible, constrained capacity plan for key resources for finished goods and FRU's (Field Replaceable Units). Works closely with manufacturing to set the constrained plan Manual or detailed calculation of netted supply requirements for both purchased and manufactured upstream material materials Ensures accuracy of signals for the timely ordering and delivery of components to support manufacturing activities. Determine if current suppliers' deliveries adequately provide needed raw material. Set raw material inventory at appropriate target levels, take material yield into account Works closely with Supply Planning to insure we are meeting customer expectations and desired customer service level Establishes effective communication with supporting functions to resolve issues that my impact the production schedule. This includes but not limited to purchasing, manufacturing planning, repair depot, engineering, quality, regulatory, customer service and document control Set target stocking levels for FRU's based on historical usage and based on input from product experts. Maintains appropriate target and reorder points to meet business fill rate targets Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules Minimize SLOB, perform excess and obsolete inventory reviews. Timely dispositions of materials; plan and reserve for EOL (End of Life) support ECO (Engineering Change Order) review and implementation, work with Engineering and Service Planning to disposition to minimize impact to SLOB and service level Develop production and procurement plans, meeting demand, supporting inventory objectives, and aligned with S&OP Builds and maintains all SAP material master data including routings, cycle times, inventory targets in all spare parts service locations Supporting EOL by working with purchasing to complete last time buy or engineer to quality replacement

Qualifications

Required: Minimum of University/bachelor's Degree 4+ years of relevant experience Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Planning Systems Demonstrates strong analytical skills - ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data and covert to clear business information Ability to influence others in a matrix environment Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles Ability to Travel up to 10% Internationally and or Domestically

Preferred: Sophisticated Microsoft Excel capabilities Familiar with FDA, cGMP, CE and other Medical Device Industry regulations and requirements Familiarity or experience with lean, six sigma (i.e. DMAIC), and other continuous improvement methodologies Self-starter, highly motivated, able to see problems and recommend appropriate actions to resolve. Ability to work in detail and be result oriented Medical device background APICS Training & Certification
