MD MD QS Digital Strategy & Deployment Lead primarily leads and
supports the organization's effort to drive MD wide and
cross-functional digital transformation projects and independently
drive MD QS Solutions' workstreams and sustain/base-business
including: process/workflow automation, technology/solution
development & deployment, verification & validation, data
architecture & engineering, data science application development,
advanced analytics, data governance/management, SDLC, and overall
non-Medical Device Product Software management. The position also
engages with medical device product teams across MD operating
companies as well as IT, R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Supply
Chain to identify transformative opportunities, lead priority
assessment, facilitate strategy/implementation planning and lead
implementation and execution with key stakeholders and MD Quality
leaders. This position will lead planning and execution meetings
with mid to senior level partners and management representatives to
develop new process, technology and change management solutions
while providing the guidance needed to ensure compliance with the
company's Quality and Compliance policies, procedures and
applicable external requirements and standards.
- As a MD QS Digital Strategy & Deployment Lead, the role brings
up transformative improvement & bold new opportunities through
continuous engagement with stakeholders and development &
deployment of digital/technical solutions.
- Leads value-driven prioritization of improvement opportunities,
perform landscape/baseline assessment, develop & execute
implementation plan through PMP/FPX, Agile or similar
methodologies, and prescribe an approach and drive solution
development and deployment.
- Execute implementation by working with MD Medical Device
Software platform teams, Quality Systems & Post Market Quality
organization, and internal & external technology solution vendors
as well as benchmarking external best practices.
- Manage lifecycle of deployed technology solutions through
change management, which includes defect management, bug fixes, and

translate into digital requirements and technology solutions while
balancing tradeoffs and business impact.
- Participate in J&J Enterprise Level effort around Medical
Device Software standards and technology deployment as an MD Lead
SME and drive establishment of practical standards and
fit-for-purpose enterprise technology solution deployment.
- Develop and maintain standardized procedures, work
instructions, knowledge articles, and training materials needed for
development & implementation of solutions and upskill the Q&C
organization with digital acumen.
- Supervise contract resources and mentor GROW resources to
achieve milestones on time and develop the less seasoned high
potential talent to build continuous talent pipeline.
- A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required; a degree
concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Data
Science or other relevant subject area will be an asset.
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience in Medical Device,
Digital/Enabling Platform Solution Development & Support, or Data
- Strong communication, collaboration and social skills to engage
stakeholders, create an environment openly entertain new
ideas/solutions, lead discussions to align objectives across
stakeholders and gain their buy-in.
- Excellent communication skills, and strong collaboration and
influencing skills to partner effectively across functions and MD
- Capability to build a consensus and leading stakeholders
through process, technology solution, and organizational
- Ability to articulate cerebral or ambiguous ideas and
observations into clear set of problem statements or
- Strong project management skill.
- Flexible with the ability to work independently as well as on
teams with excellent time management skills to handle multiple
projects and deadlines required.
- Working knowledge of software, system or technology solution
development, V&V, and lifecycle management is required.
- Hands on work experience in Medical Device industry, Software
development & support using modern solution development tools such
as Jira/Xray, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Polarion,
Cognition, etc), and Data Science preferred.
- Hands on work experience with modern RPA, AI/ML, and other
automation technology platforms, solutions, or languages such as
AWS, Azure, GCP, Selenium, Blue Prism, Python, Java, R, etc.
- Strong understanding and experience in design and development
of data science pipeline (e.g. data wrangling, model
training/validation, visualization/deployment, etc.) is
- Ability to translate complex data into digestible insights for
technical and lay audiences is required.
- Up to 10% travel, regionally and internationally required.
