Company Summary:For over 40 years Preston Pipelines has been
delivering excellence as an Underground construction and
Engineering consulting contractor in California. We complete many
projects each year for a multitude of Developers, General
contractors, and Municipalities. We perform our work primarily in
Northern California as far East as Sacramento and Vicinity, as far
North as Napa and Santa Rosa and with an emphasis in the Greater
Bay area region. Preston Pipelines also has a sister company, Dirt
Market, specializing in soils management as well as an electrical
company known as Preston Electric; all of which work together to
deliver a full package of the highest quality work and customer
service to our clients. Position Summary:The Contract and
Compliance Administrator (CCA) will derive his/her authority from
the Construction Manager, Director of Engineering and Survey (or
Assistant Construction Manager).The CCA will work closely with the
project management teams and the estimating teams of all companies
to review, negotiate, process, track and comply with all
contractual requirements such as bonds, insurance certificates,
OCIP/CCIP registration, Close out docs etc. The key three skills
the successful applicant will have will be the ability to read and
fully understand the nuances of contract language and legal
documents; enjoy working with people and communicating; and a
strong ability to self-motivate and move forward with contracts.
Extra knowledge skill will be an understanding of business
insurance.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Contract Award and ProcessAfter
communication is received from our PMs regarding a new contract,
assist in reviewing contract for significant requirements such as
insurance, bonds, PLAs, OCIP/CCIP etc. Work with the insurance
administrator and forward to insurance agent for insurance review
as considered necessary.Review Key contract areas for unusual
requirements or potential detrimental to PPI language. Review with
the responsible PM Exec. And, as necessary, the CM, COO or CFO.
Negotiate with the client for the final contract language.Work with
the Office Manager to obtain Bonds as necessary from Bond
AgentCommunicate with contact at Customers office to ascertain that
all required contract documents have been forwarded and
received.Verify that PPI properly prepared Preliminary Notice has
been timely filed and located in J Drive and that final copy with
return receipts has been filed in our PPI billing contract files
(with Office Manager, Insurance Administrator, Billing and
Subcontract Manager Accountant)Assist project teams with notices,
change orders, claims, etc. language and filing as needed to ensure
reservation of rights and contract compliance. Powered by
