TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
C SHIFT: FRIDAY TO SUNDAY AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY 6:00 AM-6:00
PM
SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Production Manager, the
Production Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of all
production-related activities on the an assigned shift, including
photolithography, plating, polish, and/or vacuum manufacturing
areas; overseeing the work of both regular and supplemental
employees, such as assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and
ensuring staffing targets are met; coordinates, tracks, and
prioritizes line responsibilities to ensure that production goals
are met; and ensures that safety policies and procedures are
adhered to. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:--- Oversees the work of both regular
non-exempt employees, evaluates performance, establishes targets,
and makes employment-related decisions such as promotions, hiring,
and terminations--- Supervisors are required to be physically
on-site to perform the essential functions of this position,
including making oneself available to employees, peers, and
managers as needed--- Supervisors are required to perform the
following on-site COVID-19 duties, including monitoring shift
change and employee social distancing, preparing mask, hairnet, and
shoe covers, and directing traffic at or in employee change
rooms--- Oversees all production-related activities on an assigned
shift, including photolithography, plating, polish, and/or vacuum
manufacturing areas--- Collaborates with Human Resources regarding
the recruitment and staffing of regular and/or supplemental
non-exempt employees, including reviewing applicant data,
conducting interviews, and preparing offer requests to ensure
staffing targets are met consistently--- Coordinates, tracks, and
prioritizes line responsibilities to ensure that production goals
are attained--- Collaborates with engineering and maintenance
groups regarding equipment and/or tool qualification and
maintenance--- Reviews and analyzes production or tool data,
creates reports, and recommends corrective action if necessary---
Responds to inquiries regarding production or manufacturing issues
from other departments or groups--- Adheres to all safety policies
and procedures as required--- Performs other duties of a similar
nature or level*
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:--- High School Diploma or GED--- Five years
of experience working in a manufacturing environment in the
semiconductor industry--- One year of experience working in a
supervisory or lead role--- Proficient in the use of Microsoft
Office Applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:--- Knowledge of supervisory
principles, practices, and techniques--- Knowledge of semiconductor
industry specifically wafer fab manufacturing and production---
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to
create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations--- Able to
analyze data, create various reports, and recommend corrective
action--- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees,
and management--- Able to work productively and collaboratively
with all levels of employees and management--- Able to comply with
all safety policies and procedures--- Demonstrated ability to
motivate, manage, and evaluate employee performance--- Demonstrated
analytical and critical thinking skills--- Demonstrated
organizational and time management skills--- Demonstrated
problem-solving and trouble shooting skills--- Flexible and able to
prioritize
The annual base salary for this full-time position is between
$96,655.20-$142,000.10 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range
the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors
including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills,
abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range
shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
WORKING CONDITIONS:The Production Supervisor a rotating schedule on
an assigned shift (A, B, C, or D) in both office and manufacturing
production environments. Travels from building-to-building as
needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing
facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves,
safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to high-volume
noise and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals or particulate
matter; stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements,
bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using
a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. This
position requires the Production Supervisor to work on-site during
their scheduled shift. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to
20 pounds.
